The Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Procurement Portal is a service which offers suppliers the opportunity to view contract announcements in real time. EU and Non-EU public notices are published immediately on the procurement portal, giving suppliers instant access to contract opportunities. This portal is hosted by BiP Solutions on behalf of Strathclyde Fire and Rescue.
Background
The European Commission recommends in the Consolidated Procurement Directive that public authorities provide their procurement information via a Buyer Profile and this facility has been incorporated in the procurement portal. The Buyer Profile provides information on procurement plans and contact details. The portal also offers suppliers the scope to identify future opportunities, respond to current opportunities and view details of existing contracts including the nature of the goods / services / works and also the contracted supplier.
